Updated: Salvation Army closing men's shelter during day

New 11:46 a.m. Monday:

The Salvation Army of Champaign County is facing a $200,000 shortfall in its men's shelter program. So it has closed the shelter during the day.

The Salvation Army Stepping Stone men's shelter is now closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No staff is on duty during that time.
